TenTen - Invisible

Hm. Ebay has managed to offend me.

I need to opt out of these damn promotional emails.. Anyhow, they sent me this spammish thing titled "Your favorite brands - buy them now for less"

Three headings: "Top 10 Deals", "Deals for Her" (shoes, beauty, jeans) and "Deals for Him" (star wars merchandise, electronics, digital cameras)

What the fuck?

I am a woman. That I've had breast reduction surgery doesn't diminish this. That I desire to have my tubes tied so I'll be safe from at least one kind of parasitic lifeform does not diminish this. That I like to wear clothes traditionally worn mainly by men does not make me less of a woman. I am not a gay man in a woman's body. I am a woman.

eBay is sending the message that women should look good and men should have fun.  Gender roles have reached a new low.

(no subject)

Okay, so I didn't get enough sleep last night. I never do. But this is just ridiculous. I just spent something between one and four hours in a nonresponsive state. Awake at first, my thoughts perfectly clear, but unable to move my body much. I registered the TV lose the signal as my monitor blanked out after 45 minutes of idleness, and the TV go into standby mode some time later. Then I fell asleep, dreaming.

When I woke up and struggled over to the computer, my idle time on IRC was four hours. So it was maybe 2-3 hours, I guess.. I know I didn't talk just prior to being hit by the fatigue and going over to bed.

This has happened before, several times. I don't have a clear memory of when it first happened. I think it only happens during the summer half of the year, I have no memory of it and being cold.
It doesn't happen suddenly; it's not like I just fall over and sleep. It's always "Ye gods I feel tired, I need to go lie down for a bit" and that "a bit" usually turns out to be over an hour. I've never fallen asleep anywhere else than my bed as a result of whatever the hell it is.

Maybe it's just the allergy meds.

And feeling bad about not accomplishing anything today. Maybe I'll work a little on the site later.
