Today I spent three and a half hours walking, in the rain, visiting eight different stores looking for the one toothpaste I don't hate. Now I worry they've stopped making it, because when I finally found it, it was only in a small tube attached to a toothbrush. I bought it anyway, because I can't stand brushing my teeth with that horrid stuff I bought last time. Not one more time.

Did two loads of laundry, sorted more old junk, throwing some away. It's a daunting task, but I am determined to make my room look nice. Yes, go ahead and laugh you people who know me. People can change. It's never easy, but I don't think it's my destiny to always have a cluttered room. It just requires hard work. And motivation, which I have little of.

Shared a tin of tuna with Odessa. She ate most of it, though. Just kept eating and eating.. licked the plate clean and proceeded to pick up the tiny bits spilled on the floor. (Eww. Do you know how long it's been since that was last cleaned, Odessa? You don't want to know).

Harriet-san is back home, and I've finally told her how things have been in her absence, and that I'm looking at potential places to move every night.

It remains to be seen if anything will happen, but I think I got it through to her that I am not happy here under these circumstances, and will move out if things continue like this.

It is possible that I will move out regardless. If I find a nice, affordable place where I don't have to share kitchen and bathroom with anyone.

Anyway, she was impressed with how I've managed to tidy my room up. For reference, my room currently looks like Collapse )

Not too bad. And the stuff I have stashed in the attic is ~80% books. I want to keep most of them, but maybe I can get rid of some at one of the conventions come summer. I'm more interested in passing on the books to someone who may enjoy them than to get any profits out of it. Of course, I end up buying more books at the auctions than I get rid of, usually. I still have a couple from the summer of 2004 that I haven't read yet -_-'
