oooo! shiny ! (bubbles)

So, my weekend.

There was another mini-convention at Blindern, the theme this time being vampires. Saturday, watched From Dusk till Dawn, Interview with the Vampire, the first episodes of Ultraviolet and Kindred: the Embraced (the series loosely based on Vampire: The Masquerade, seen it before, seemed better the first time around), followed by the anime segment of Blood: The Last Vampire and the first two episodes of Hellsing (the first series - damn, it was good to see again)

After, a group of six of us went to a pub for beer and conversation. I felt so out of place. And it was so noisy - I had to concentrate to hear what people were saying. The beer was, well, beer. Regular beer; good, but not wonderful. Inge and the guy whose name I never got left early, leaving four of us. Eventually I managed to participate a little in the conversation, and I did have a good time, in a fashion. After the second beer, I went home. It was almost midnight at that point, and I encountered a total of three people on my way back. I'm glad I walked; the last metro would probably be full of other drunk people. It wasn't too cold, and while intoxicated, my rational self was not far away and made sure I looked both ways before crossing the street, etc.

Didn't sleep well, because Harriet-san had lots of people over for a party. And my room was very cold. Crappy insulation.

However, the following morning, I was not as exhausted as I had expected to be. Went back to the convention and had more fun. We started off with Nosferatu, which I liked quite a bit. Then followed Dracula (the 1931 one with Bela Lugosi) and the more recent Bram Stoker's Dracula. Then we watched the first episode of the new Hellsing OVA, and lastly Dracula 3000, which was just stupid.

Had a great time overall.

Woke up this morning to the sound of a vase toppling and water dripping. Odessa really won't leave those tulips alone.. and I thought she liked roses. Clearly, she favors tulips.
It's all okay; since I recently cleared out that area, nothing got damaged from the water, and nothing broke. And my tree is still safe. Tulips make excellent decoys, but I can't afford to always keep some. Will going to have to figure out another way to keep my baby oak tree safe.
