I'm not lost, I just don't know where I'm going.
But I'm determined to enjoy the journey.
Overstressed and underworked.

Hiding in plain sight

After the Really Important Meeting yesterday (which went well, by the way), I had to do more painful decisionmaking about my photos. Once home, I slept for a few hours.

Slept really badly tonight, waking up exhausted and cold, despite the fact that Odessa hadn't opened the hatch. My room has piss-poor isolation.
Played a few more minutes of SMAC:SMAC. Found a nice place to build another base and sent a colony pod there. Was attacked by mindworms again, but they still haven't killed anyone or caused serious harm.. they seemed a lot scarier in the books.

Received word yesterday that the tea I sent to darth_blade has finally arrived. He will pick it up at the post office today. I had believed it lost in the mail, since I sent it DECEMBER the 6th.

Main goal for today is to finish reading the book I'm on, because it's due today and I can't extend it since I've already done that twice. So, what, I've had it for two months or so? Yeah, I haven't been reading much lately.. Next I'm going to get an audiobook so I can listen to it while knitting.

Mindworms are scary - just not early game, and not when you are the Gaians.

Later on, after the first "pop"s, mindworms will start appearing from ecodamage.
Initially it will be one or two.

By the time you reach the end of the game, I've seen a pop of 47 Locusts of Chiron and several Isles of the Deep. I've had my capital city go from a population of 41 to 1 from that.

Chiron rocks. What's the best way to make friends with it?
