I'm not lost, I just don't know where I'm going.
But I'm determined to enjoy the journey.
This isn't what I wanted when I asked for "net access"

Shino - "I put a female bug on you"

I don't deserve this shit.

My ISP got back to me and told me that they unfortunately cannot deliver because of capacity problems. My last resort now is to order DSL from Telenor, and it looks like they might not be able to deliver either. Looks like the capacity is all maxed out here. I ordered it anyway.
I'm desperate enough to ask my aunt to pull some strings and push for an upgrade. I guess that'd be unethical or something, but I must have DSL! I can't live like this.

In further bad news, I opened the trap door into my cellar last night, and on the inside of the hatch were two HUGE spiders. I screamed like a little girl.

I've captured the beasts and am holding them in custody until I can figure out what to do with them. Uploading photos to flickr and asking the ID Please group for help. The cabin has been rented out to tourists a lot in the past, so my arachnid friends may be illegal immigrants.

Anyone here have experience with spiders as pets? I just don't want them to die on me while I work things out. They're in a glass jar with some sticks to climb on so they don't die of boredom, and I threw in a wad of cotton soaked with water in case they need moisture. I guess I should feed them flies, but they're not exactly in season. I'm sure I can scrounge up some, this is a farm after all.

Oh yeah, and I have no plans of keeping the spiders - if they're found to be native, I'll just go for a long walk in the woods and release them into the wild somewhere far away from here. If they're alien, well, I guess I have to either kill them or keep them as pets, neither of which appeals to me a whole lot.

First priority would be to determine the variety and find out if they're, y'know, venomous. But barring that, I see no problem with keeping pet spiders.

I say it's more unethical of the ISP to not upgrade when they know they're unable to serve the whole community.

Yeah, but so few people live out here, the expenses to upgrade far outweigh the potential income of a couple of more DSL customers. Bastards.

And DSL is not a human right as of yet.

These people seems to believe that they offer wireless coverage in your area, but take a look at the map, I might be wrong as to where Brosvika is, and if I'm off by a couple of km, you might be out of luck.
I ought to warn you that I've heard some complaints on their bandwidth in Oslo, but there ought to be fewer subscribers to compete with in your area.
