I'm not lost, I just don't know where I'm going.
But I'm determined to enjoy the journey.
Home improvement!

Pirate Kriatyrr & Odessa

My bedroom is very narrow - approximately 145 cm (57") wide. My bed is just over 90cm wide. Yeah, there's not much space left over on the side. But I don't need to walk all the way over to the foot of the bed, so I decided to put up a shelf in that corner, for my cat to perch on. A place for her to sleep without being disturbed by my tossing and turning in bed.

The Cat Shelf
Click photo to go to Flickr where there are two more of the shelf.

I'm pleased that she has decided to use it for its intended purpose. I'm thinking of maybe adding another one, much narrower, for her to walk over to the other window, which is a bit high up. I think she'd like that.

What was your latest home improvement project?

Wow - that is a very narrow bedroom. But at least the kitty has a nice place to snooze on.

I added you as a friend on Flicker.

Already saw and added you back before I got the notification of this comment. :P

I didn't realize who it was until I looked at the photostream and saw familiar photos.

So, Arrogant Bastard Ale? I've tried that once. Very potent stuff.

It is and I do enjoy it! Also been trying some mead every now and again.

What do you enjoy drinking?

Tea, tea, tea! Green tea, oolong tea, black tea. No milk, no sweetener of any kind, except in ginger tea (made from just ginger so technically not a real tea) which is nice with honey.

Oh, did you mean alcohol-wise?

I enjoy most beers. Not all that keen on wine unless it's mostly fruity (sangria, etc). I love amaretto. Whiskey is nice, though too strong for me to drink neat - I like it mixed with ginger ale. Rum brings out one of my personalities who should not be let out unsupervised, so I'm a bit careful with that, but I do like the drink.

And I tend to prefer things that aren't too sweet (although amaretto and rum are both pretty sugary...), but rather sweet than dry when it comes to wine at least. I like most ciders, except apple which is too mundane for me.

I tried mead once, didn't care much for it, which surprised me. Maybe I should try another brand some time. (though I can't remember which one I tried)

I happen to love tea and drink lots of it myself. I have a whole drawer dedicated to tea and hot chocolate. Currently I am drinking a lot of green tea with roasted rice.

"brings out one of my personalities who should not be let out unsupervised" - Oh do tell?

Oooh, thank you for reminding me of Genmaicha. I'm nearly out of it and I had forgotten to put it on my shopping list I'm about to send to my brother. He lives in Oslo, where they have the luxury of a really awesome tea store.

And I don't want to talk about the Saucy_Wench. She's caused me enough trouble already and I probably won't let her out to play again anytime soon. And when I do I'll try to keep a tighter grip on her.

We have a few tea stores around here as well as Asian food marts so there is tea abound.

Fair enough.

I think my last home improvement project was moving in.
I should finally get all my posters up and take pictures of my new room.
