I'm not lost, I just don't know where I'm going.
But I'm determined to enjoy the journey.
Writer's Block: Wake up and smell the coffee

Real men drink TEA
Given the choice, would you rather sleep in or eat a delicious breakfast? Is there any food you love so much that you'd wake up at dawn or travel a great distance just to eat it?

Sleep for me. It usually takes me an hour or two after waking up to start having an appetite anyway.

Of course I love good food, and not having to cook myself is nice, but I have such a hard time getting enough sleep, I don't think there's anything I'd want to get up at dawn to eat. And why, anyway? Couldn't I just eat it later? I'm guessing the questioner is thinking of something like an incredibly delicious bread that's fresh baked at dawn every day and sold out by the time most people get up. That bakery would be foolish to not do a second batch later in the day, then. :P

As for traveling long distances just to eat something delicious.. no, not really. Not just for that reason. I'm a practical person and tend to combine trips. Travel takes time and costs money, there's no way I'd do that just to go to some fancy restaurant to eat green tea ice cream and then go home again. Most expensive ice cream ever!

There was a bakery in the vicinity of one of the places I used to live. Their donuts and bagels were local-legendary for how awesome they were, and there were people lined up for it at 5:00 AM.

Why? Their closing time was 7:00 AM.

While most bakeries aren't THAT extreme on their hours, there are a lot of local small-time bakeries that close really early, mostly so they can start work on catering or something else. It isn't just "they're not baking that bread again that day", it is "they're not even open the for the rest of this day."

Err... I guess the point I was trying to make was that most of the "really good" bakeries are only open at that time in the US. Heck, even the one in the supermarket down the road from me only bakes Cinnamon Rolls early in the mornings; they're often out of them by noon.
