Tonight, I purchased my airplane tickets for my upcoming vacation to the United States of America. ^_^
My flight is on Thursday, November the 18th. Before then, I have a ton of things I need to do - I expect to be reasonably stressed out for some time now.
ESTA travel authorization has been applied for and paid for (yes, they charge you 14 dollars for the privilege of applying for permission to enter the US now - and this is mandatory).
Will book a room to stay at in Bergen the night before the flight (as it is an early-morning one) one of the next few days.
Will continue to get Odessa all the veterinary care she needs. Hopefully she'll need no more after I leave, but if she does, that can be done while she's with my very awesome friend who has volunteered to take care of her while I'm gone. Odessa was vaccinated on Wednesday, and since this is her first vaccine in ~4 years, she'll need a booster shot in 2-4 weeks. That will be taken care of before I go.
Still waiting on those Feline Greenies Pill Pockets I ordered over two weeks ago - hopefully they'll make it much easier to give her her medication so it'll be less of a burden to my friend. I have no problem at all making Odessa swallow her pills, but I'm sure my cat will appreciate not having a stranger shove medication down her throat.
Have aquired sufficient amounts of cat food and kitty litter for the duration of my trip.
And probably another half a dozen things that don't come to mind right now. Rather worn out by the ticket booking and ESTA application. I feel like I need some chocolate, but I already had some earlier today..
Had a Shopping trip of DOOM! to Førde yesterday. Not only did I have a heavy load to carry (mainly litter and cat food), I also had to walk home from the ferry lane, in the dark and cold and snow because my aunt's car was still using summer tires. Lots of traffic problems due to the sudden snowfall over here. On the bus ride from Rysjedalsvika to Lavik, I saw a car that had slipped off the road. No personal injuries, and the vehicle didn't look damaged either - it probably just needed some help getting back on the road. (Bus driver stopped to check if they were in need of assistance - even if you have a schedule to keep, you don't ignore someone who may be in distress. The brief stop did not cause any problems with making my connection.)
I kind of don't want to look at my bank account balance right now. After my shopping spree yesterday and the tickets today.. it's
