But, I have a set of goals for this month. They are as follows:
- Get foster kitties.
- get something going in the garden - at least two different crops
- Read at least 3 books
- Knit at least two things.
Mauleen, their mother, is also doing better than expected, but she'd probably be happy to come back home. Xiomara and Fanari are both very shy and need time in a foster home.
I have marked out a plot in my garden, about a square meter, and ripped out the moss and grass that was covering it. Going to dig around and remove rocks and roots a bit first, but it should soon be ready for planting. What, I'm not sure, but I have plenty of seeds. I think I want to go for parsnips, but those have a pretty late harvest and I'll need something earlier as well.
I've been really slow at reading so far this year. I'm.. currently on my fourth book of the year. Yeah. I want that and at least two more done before April is over.
I'm over halfway done with my first Cap Sleeve Lattice Top. I expect to finish the knitting part in the next 5-10 days, and then it'll probably take me another two weeks before I get around to sewing in loose ends, seaming it up and blocking it. I also want to do one more project this month. Even if it's just a pair of socks.
And, really, that's enough. I still cook dinner for my grandmother every Wednesday, so tomorrow we're having pizza. I am really low on foods since the last time I got to go grocery shopping was eighteen days ago, but I have cheese, a chicken breast is thawing in the fridge, and I have frozen pizza dough. I can do pizza.
