April, day 23

I stayed up way too late last night.. it was past 5 AM when I went to bed, and as usual, sleep did not arrive in a timely manner. I've had a few fragments of sleep, but nothing significant.

Found a mouse in my kitchen last night, after posting yesterday's entry. Put out a trap, and twelve minutes later it was dead. I think there's another one, though, I've been hearing sounds. At around six this morning I heard something, and the trap had been triggered, though it was empty and I couldn't see the bait anywhere. I might be dealing with a more intelligent mouse. Or maybe the trap misfired; it seemed very sensitive when I reset it. But where did that cheese cube go if it wasn't eaten?

I miss having cats. I hope I can eliminate this beast before it chews and/or pisses on something I care about.

Due to lack of sleep putting me in a spaced out state, I didn't get around to heading down to the farm until past 4 PM, and my grandmother had already fixed herself dinner (heated leftovers). So I just put the stuff I had back in the freezer and had some leftovers myself. At least I wasn't planning on cooking anything fresh; not like I could have when I haven't gone grocery shopping for about two weeks. I get to go tomorrow, though.

Lots of knitting today, while binge watching Les Revenants. I'm enjoying it a lot, but I'm not sure I would recommend it to people. It's all sorts of confusing and creepy. With just ~15 minutes left of the last episode, I still have no idea what's going on. I have a little over one skein (out of seven!) left to knit.
